ABSI Aerospace & Defense is proud to announce that the U.S. Department of Labor has recognized the company with the 2025 Platinum HIRE Vets Medallion Award. This marks the sixth consecutive year ABSI has received recognition through the HIRE Vets Medallion Program—the only federal award program that recognizes employers for their commitment to veteran hiring, retention, and professional development.

ABSI first received the Gold Medallion in 2020, 2021, and 2022, and has since earned the program’s highest distinction—the Platinum Medallion—in 2023, 2024, and again in 2025. With this achievement, ABSI is honored to be one of only three companies of any size in Southern Maryland to receive the Platinum Medallion in 2025. This recognition reflects ABSI’s enduring dedication to creating meaningful career opportunities for veterans and supporting their growth within the defense industry.

The HIRE Vets Medallion Program, established by the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans (HIRE Vets) Act of 2017, is the only federal award recognizing employers who demonstrate excellence in recruiting, employing, and retaining America’s veterans.
