Aerial Target Division

ABSI’s Aerial Targets Division delivers the nation’s most adaptable, threat-representative aerial targets — designed and built in the USA — to prepare warfighters, homeland defenders, and allied forces for today’s evolving unmanned threats. Our systems replicate the tactics, signatures, and performance of adversary drones to ensure operators and their equipment are ready for the fight ahead.

Our Approach

ABSI’s approach is rooted in a four-pillar design philosophy that ensures every target system delivers operational value while remaining affordable and scalable.
Affordable

Cost-efficient enough to support large-scale training and live-fire consumption.

Realistic
Threat-representative performance that mirrors adversary UAS in form and function.
Adaptable
Modular payloads for mission-specific effects, from MILES instrumentation to drop payloads.
Scalable
In-house design and U.S.-based manufacturing for rapid prototyping and mass production.
Together, these pillars ensure our aerial targets deliver realism and agility without burdening budgets.

Products

ABSI’s aerial target portfolio spans Group 1 through Group 3 UAS, covering the spectrum of threats our customers face. Each product is engineered for realism and repeatability, with flexible payloads and scalable production capacity.

EVX-5 Gnat Storm

Engineered for swarm and FPV-style replication, Gnat Storm enables affordable mass-drone training to stress test defenses. Supports autonomous flight modes for realistic adversary behavior.

EVX-10 Sky Badger

A modular UAS designed for adaptable training scenarios, supporting payloads like MILES or munitions simulators. Optimized for flexible replication of diverse small UAS threats.

EFX-7 Remora

A compact, VTOL, multi-mission aerial target ideal for range-constrained environments. Supports ISR replication, payload delivery, and training events where space and budgets are limited.

CFX-20 Rattler

The RATTLER line replicates Group 1–3 drone threats with scalable configurations. Ideal for kinetic live-fire testing, counter-UAS system evaluation, and operator training. Designed for affordability, RATTLER enables repeated ‘reps and sets’ for force readiness.

CFX-125 Nomad

A long-endurance aerial target replicating advanced Group 2 UAS threats. Nomad supports multiple payloads for radar, EO/IR, & EW training, enabling repeated reps-&-sets at scale. U.S.-built for supply chain assurance & affordability.

TFX-130 Dagger

A high-speed, turbine-powered aerial target replicating jet-like threat profiles. Compact and rugged, Dagger delivers realism for live-fire testing and advanced C-UAS training without driving up costs.

Coming Soon

ABSI will soon launch its in-house developed Flight Controller Module. U.S.-designed, U.S.-manufactured, and eligible for Blue List compliance, this system supports the emerging wave of mass-produced, U.S.-made drones. Engineered for reliability and integration flexibility, it represents a new layer of autonomy and control.

Why ABSI

Unlike many competitors who rely on repurposed COTS systems with limited scalability and supply chain control, ABSI designs and manufactures its aerial targets in-house using US-sourced materials and advanced manufacturing techniques. Our rapid prototyping and production capabilities ensure precision, availability, and adaptability at scale — giving our customers confidence in both performance and procurement timelines.
