ABSI Aerospace and Defense is honored to announce the appointment of our newest Vice President, Mr. James “Chewy” Frey, who just completed an impressive career as a Senior Military Officer in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Frey’s extensive military background and strategic expertise in unmanned systems will significantly bolster our executive leadership team’s capabilities as he begins his tenure leading our CxISRT Vertical.
During his active-duty career, Mr. Frey held several key positions, each contributing to his deep understanding of tactical and strategic operations. As the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Branch Head and Aviation Expeditionary Enablers Branch Head at the Pentagon, he demonstrated his exceptional capability in overseeing complex aviation programs, focusing on innovation and technological advancement in unmanned systems. His leadership and strategic insights in these roles have been pivotal in shaping modern aerial warfare and expeditionary tactics.
As Commanding Officer at the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Atlantic in Little Creek, VA, Mr. Frey led the effort to enhance specialized training programs, ensuring preparedness and efficiency in expeditionary operations. During his tenure as Commanding Officer of the Marine Unmanned Aerial Systems Squadron Thee (VMU-3) in Twentynine Palms, CA, Mr. Frey spearheaded the deployment and operational integration of unmanned systems.
These roles have uniquely positioned Mr. Frey to lead our CxISRT Vertical. His comprehensive experience in unmanned systems, combined with his proven leadership in both training and combat operations, aligns seamlessly with ABSI’s overall strategic objectives.
